  1. ok, i used TMPGENC to convert some files to MPEG and when i burned it on a dvd, it doesnt show up on my dvd player...why is that? i know for sure though my dvd plays mpg

    See the guides on the left. But you need to go one more step and author the DVD files. because many DVD players will not recognize an mpeg file.

    I think what james was getting at is that many DVD players require you to convert your MPEG file into IFO, BUP and VOB files (this is what is meant by the term "authoring").

    They should be IFO, BUP and VOB - that is what standard compliant DVD files are (What is DVD - top left). how's about authoring your MPEG and trying it ?

  11. see..my cyberhome 300 plays mpeg..but these 2 files seem to not be playin for some reason..recommend software plz?
