Sorry if this sounds like a silly question...
Everytime I burn a DVD and stick it in my DVD player, when the movie starts, the subtitles appear by default. I can simply switch them off by pressing the subtitle button on the remote control, but I would rather like it if the subtitle did not appear until I atually pressed the subtitle button to display them.
Is there something I am not doing right in the re-authoring process? I use DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 to reauthor and Nero 6.6 to burn the DVD.
Any help would be most appreciated,
cheers

Also, if it's a movie you're copying, keep the menus as these 'hold' the information options, i.e. when the viewer chooses audio options, subtitles, angles, etc. When the menu's gone, some players get confused by this and an after effect is that subtitles areplayed by default.

Hi Sifaga & pbar,
Many thanks for the advice. I will fiddle with the Set Default Streams option in Shrink.
this forum is great

when you disable subpicture stream you get no subtitles at all. I don't think you can avoid default subtitles, when re-authoring. I've tried it.
