i found the solution to my problem with my card.
anyway whats the settings i am supposed to use for 2 hour captures??
here is the current settings.
video quality 1000
audio quality 256.
bitrate 4820 as per this site's bitrate calculator.
now here is my problem.
a 22 minute mpeg capture takes approxmaitly 955mb of a 4.7gb dvd 5 disc.
at that rate its IMPOSSIBLE for me to get 2 hours of video on a dvd-r disc.
what am i doing wrong and how would i go about being able to record a 2 hour mpeg..
i fiddled around with the settings with contrast and brightness and saturation and the results exceeded the defaults it had which were crap to begin now the recordings are rich and colorful but whats the point if i cant get at least 2 hour flick on there..
i also played the mpeg's with powerDVD and video fluctates between 5.6mbs and 7.8mbs..
