  1. Hi, I have a very simple question ...
I did several back ups of dvd-r simply using dvd decrypter.
The last one I try to do only left me a folder ISO and a folder MDS but did not have the folder dvd or the lO1
Since I thougth that may be I made a mistake, i did it again and the same thing happened.
żDoes anyone knows what may happened and how do I solve this?

The other method that I tried before was using dvd decrypter in file mode, selecting all the chapters, created a VIDEO_TS and a AUDIO_TS folder and burn them with Nero. Everything went fine, the only problem is that using this method the Pioneer set top dvd players will no play my back ups.
Doing it using only dvd decrypter to download to my hard drive and them burn them using again dvd decrypter worked fine in all set top dvds, but I do not why this time this folders are missing!!!

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    Thank you

Mds and iso are not dvd folders, they are image files of the dvd you copied to your harddrive, just burn the mds file with DVD Decrypter.

The reason you didnt get folders was you some how changed the options.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

canadateck, the MDS is a 9kb file, and the ISO is a 5.5 GB file, I'm trying to understand here why to choose the 9kb file instead of the movie file.

The MDS contains instructions for the burner application on how the ISO should be burned, but generally, those aren't needed - an ISO can usually be burned withot those instructions, using default values. It's however a good practice to point the burner app to the MDS if such exist. I think DVDDecrypter will bitch you about it if you don't.

thanks Canadatech. I understand of course about the shrink bit. So when I open in Shrink and choose the MDS it'll work. If I choose the file, it'll still work but may bitch about it. I get the drift.
