I have had this problem and I am sure that some of you too have this problem with dvc II. it seems that capturing from cable tv there is a small thin or thick line coming from any where from the tv screen ( which is seen the most) on the monitor is noticable also but not like that on the screen. It would go from the buttom of the left side of the tv screen to the right upper side of the tv screen and then from the righ bottom to the left top and sometimes horizontal and vertical these are in color depending on how loud the color are. but when it comes to pitch black both monitor and tv screen you can see them like waves on the screen going anywhere.
I have try everything from slicing up the cable which connect to my vhs (my source for capturing tv series) and adding condeser and capacitor but it still there. I got this idea from the unoffical dazzle ii site. and it didn't help me much.
does any here now how to fix this problem. if any one out there that has solve this problem please help me. I am capturing mostly mickey mouse cartoon and other episode like "are you afraid of the dark?" especially in are you afraid when its night time on the blackness I can see them run on by.
option 1. trying to fix with capacitor but I need help to put it together. there are so many capacitor out there I don't know which to use.
option 2. maybe buy a snazzi card and hook it up like this:
video out from vhs pulg it in to the video source on the snazzi card.
then from the snazzi card used the s-video out and plug it into the dazzle card s-video in.
I am thinking of using the snazzi 1 card in this convertion. how much does snazzi 1 card are today.
also I am talking about the tru snazzi and not the on from dazzle snazzi or are they the same.
and one last question is this in realtime or it is like the dazzle where one sees the pic slow then the audio on preview but both are syncronize when watching it.
option 3. is there a tv turner card with a s-video out or something like it anyway.
    thanks,
    dvd knight
