I have an MPEG generated by CapWiz which is 2.5 gig in size.
It was captured at '5meg'.
Had it been captured at '4meg' it would be about 1.8gig in size.
I would like to reduce the MPEG now from 2.5 to about 1.8 in size.
1) What is this called, and what tools can do it, please?
2) Since there must already be information about this in the forums, what are the keyword combinations, what is the category name? I couldn't find anything that seemed pertinent using various combinations of "size", "MPEG", "CapWiz", "smaller", "MPEG to MPEG", "reduce"... I'm really bad at guessing keywords to find things.
Thanks in advance.

Reencode, using any mpeg2 encoder, at a lower bitrate. What bitrate to use can be calculated with a bitrate calculator.
