I blame yoda for using up the speed on his days off.
In all honesty I have no clue, maybe the DOS has resumed? -
I have not had a problem until the last hour or so........ and it's about 11:00pm where i am.....

Takes around 8-12 sec to change pages.
Seems to be fixed now. Someone must have feed the machine. -

First of all, all of the computers & hubs on the way to this site have to be working & there can be a lot of those.
You can do a traceroute if you want to find out which ones are slow. -
ThePlanets network, while they may or may not be a good host, have been hosts to many spam, phish and questional content related sites and activities.
I've noticed they have shut down some of the sites they have hosted in the past, so the resulting slowup here could easily be dOs attacks against the provider for shutting down the sites, or various out going activities such as tons of spam being sent at different times sucking up the bandwidth from time to time.
Hard to tell exactly from my position, but its odd that I've noticed the slowdowns occuring early morning and usually on weekends. Last night the slow down started at approx 3am (here in Indiana).
