    i've got and xvid file, and with it are three types of sub files, idx, sfv and sub, how can i add any of them to my xvid permanently so i can make VCD later, i've tried using vobsob and ffdshow for my sub extension file but its not working
    please help

  2. What I normally do is to encode the movie in Tmpgenc Plus and Vobsub would automatically insert the subs during the encoding process.

    If you enable vobsubs in ffdshow and the file is being decoded by ffdshow then you will get subs if your encoder is inputting via ffdshow. If named the same then directvobsub (auto-loading version) should automatically kick in.

    For avi-->VCD you can always frameserve to TMPGEnc via AVISynth and use vobsub to add the subs. Should be faster encoding that way.
