    I got a file which says it's an avi but upon using Virtualdub 1.3c seems to be an asf file that was just renamed. Which is the easiest way to get it into a useable .avi so I can convert it into an mpg?

    Get VirtualDub 1.3 and then you can convert it to avi and then mpeg.

    I already have Virtualdub 1.3. How do I convert it from there? Also, once I've seperated the audio into a .wav file do I simply name it an mp3 or do I have to get a program to convert it to mp3?
