  1. it looks like my srt files are showing 2 subtitles one on top of each other. anyone experience this before? how can I fix this?

    Most likely your player has its own subtitle engine (BSPlayer has one, as well as others), so you're getting them from VobSub as well as from your player. One solution is to turn them off in your player.

  3. i'm using media player classic. also in tmpgenc i can see it doubled.

    Well MPC has built in subtitle support. Don't know why they would be doubled in TMGPEnc though. What filters are being used in MPC? Could also try rendering the file with Graphedit to see what filters are loaded. Maybe you are using ffdshow to decode with subtitles enabled?
