ok i've been tying to capp old vhs tapes with my himage dvr4010 dvd recorder
and while recording it every now and then it will say "input changed"
then "please wait" then starts recording another file
i've tried several different vcr's and different settings one the vcr (like tracking and auto picture)
its does not seem to make a differance
it records tv and stuff like that fine
but i bought this to put my vhs on dvd and its getting frustrating
so do any of you have any ideas?
do other recorders have similar problems?
anyhelp would be great!!
thanks![]()

Sounds like dropped frames... you may need to invest in a TBC/Frame Synchronizer. Here are a couple of reasonably priced units:
Datavideo TBC-1000
AVTools AVT-8710
Your DVD recorder may also have some sort of automated feature that starts a new chapter/file whenever there is a break of a certain length or longer on the tape.
