    when i am encoding to MPEG 2, and goto open it says its an IVI MEDIA FILE. any one know what it is?

    The file has been associated with IVI Media Center Deluxe, which I think is part of WinDVD or Win DVD Creator. Do you have those programs installed on your computer?
