    Hi all,

Been a while since I've been here but thought I'd state something, which may or may not be useful. Likely already been said but did a search here and didn't find it, so....

Recently I ran into a .vob issue, I needed to join the files. However, in that rare occasion when renaming the extension to .mpg, the files wouldn't work correctly, no authoring software would fix the issues with the .vob or as mpg, stating it was wrong format or corrupt, etc....
That said, I used I-Media file merger to EASILY join the .vobs. It worked like a charm and then could work with the single video much easier.

I recall getting great help here when I needed it so if I find anything I run into now that may help others, I felt I should try to post it.

    Cheers,

    Paul

And where can I find it?

I guess it's similar to vobmerge. It will just use the copy /b to merge the files, not good for vobs from separate dvds though.

    I found it here...

    here

    included in the pack.

DVD shrink works great for splicing files . I had a loonngg home vid of a 16th birthday party, used DVD shrink to splice it with only what I wanted from it and create the .vobs. Then used the I-Media File Merge to put them together into one. Now I don't have granny talking for 15 min about nothing in the vid.
