  1. Iv been having alot of problems with mine not reading or buring disks so i decided to take it apart and i found out that the cause of this problem is a aliment problem with the dvd/cd tray and the stupid thing is that if you leave the front panels off of the dvd drive the dvd burner works fine but as soon as
    you put it back on it causes a aliment problem.I not keep the plastic panel off of the front of my dvd burner and it works fine and its better now i upgraded the firmware to the latest now its region free and its 4 speed instead of 2 speed http://forum.rpc-1.com/dl_all.php for all dvd firmware
    movies do we watch them or do they watch us?

    So you upgraded the firmware and everythings good?
    Did you mean to say that you kept the face plate off?
    My problems with this burner turned out to be the cable that came with it.
    Update- Died for real May 11 2005 Replaced on the spot with a GSA4163b 8)
