  1. Hi ,

Iam having a real strange problem latly . When burning a dvdr iam getting verify errors around 65% till the end . It happens to almost all dvd's i burn. DVD Decryptor mostly stops with an I/O Error around 71% ( while verifying ). There are no problems burning the dvd itself - just in the verify . When i compare the dvd with DVDInfopro then the reading will slow down so much that i have to stop it .
When playing the dvdr's in a standalone it will stop to the end of the movie and then after 1 or 2 seconds continue playing at the same spot .

I use a NEC1100A dvdwriter ( flashed to a nec1300 ) which has never been a problem before - just as the bulkpaq media iam using . The write Speed is 2.4x ( DVD+R).

The only thing i can come up with is that the writer is somehow fuxored that it doesnt cleanly write towards the end of a dvdr .. can that be ?

Well thanx already in advance ,

  2. Sounds like you have probably bad media. What media are you using?

Sure sounds like media. A common complaint here.

The cheap media often has issues writing a full disc. Anything over 4GB with the cheapo stuff is iffy at best. It's also one of the reasons why many standalone recorders limit it to 4GB max on a disc ....for compatibility with the cheap stuff.

Get some good media like TDK or Taiyo Yuden. It's not much more expensive when you figure you can use damn near every one without coasters

  5. So it is not very likly to be the writer ? I thought maybe i have to get one of those cleaning disk's ?!

Iam just asking because the spindel i had before worked just fine .

  6. Maybe try getting a few (maybe 5?) good brand disks like verbatim and burning - see if you get any bad ones.
