I'm old.
I'm so old I can say things like I remember when.
Started to think about all the music channels on my dish. When I was a very young man, I recorded off the radio and made pretty poor tapes that I really enjoyed. Found a few channels that sound great and I think I can extract the music off of them with no DJ at the start or end.
I don't see any difference between this and recording TV shows. And it is really for my personal use.
The problem is when I just listen to the music - without recording - it sounds perfect. But when I record it I hear pops and crackles while listening. I can also tell it bypasses the onboard sound (which is OK) because the bass changes.
The weird thing is on playback, it's fine. This is not a new card and captures a/v perfectly. Since it records OK, I know I can get at the music, but I'd like to be able to listen to it while recording.
Any advice?
Any idea why
