Hello all.
I own a Philips DVP642. There are a few things that I don't like with this player, such as a very slow FF speed. Video Quality I have to admit is far to be a good one. I compare with one of my previous Sony DVD combo which has a superb video quality.
Audio is good but not very good.
Some of the DIVX files are not playing corectly, so I have to drop down the bit rate.
I know this unit is cheap, but I'm willing to add extra $$$ to make myself happy when I watch a movie.
I need an advice from you people with more knowledge then me :
IS this the best unit which can play DivX files , pal/ntsc conversion, region free player ?
Should I return this unit and start looking for something else , a better one ? What do you think ?
I even see something like AVeL Linkplayer2 : http://onlybestrated.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/40?osCsid=3ec484d3239628...dbc5fb1b3aea03
or ModiX HD3510

Thank you very much for your advice![]()
