Hi All,
My Canopus came with Nero Vision Express 2 and as a newbie it seems on then surface that this program provides an all in one package that is easy to use and does everything that I think I will ever want to do. What, if any, are the advantages of all these other applications that are mentioned on various forums. Am I missing something here ?

NeroVision does the basics. V3 is out. NeroVision is optimal for ease of use, but is slow and lacks the control features of higher end editing/authoring packages.
Best to first master everything it can do, then demo the next step up like Ulead Video Studio 8 or Sony Vegas Movie Studio. -
Nero Vision Express is handy for opening oddball formats and exporting the video to many different formats including DV. It's a pretty slick package, and seems to run very fast for me.

My onlu complaint with NVE, is it's insistence on re-encoding compliant video, and constantly creating out of sync stuff.
Yes, it makes nice menu's especially for SVCD (I don't do SVCD any more though), and NVE3 is better than 2.Cheers, Jim
