  1. STEREO TUNER on a bargain model!

Yep. It's on sale at walmart for only $169, has a stereo tuner, great picture quality and nice features like ZOOM and even a button on the remote that lets you select the record speed!

I have tried 4 DVD recorders: ILO DVDR04, BALANCE DR4111, CYBERHOME and now this SANYO. I think it gets the best score among all of these units.

The ILO is still a very close 2nd.. because of the ability to remove Macrovision and it's very solid PQ.

The Sanyo has all the features of the ILO plus a better remote and "extras". I still say that the BALANCE would have been the best of them all.... if it actually worked

    D'oh!

This has long been a recorder that got good ratings from me. Very nice 3-hour mode on it too. Works well, great price.
