  1. I burned an XVCD of a part 1 of a movie. This part of the movie was 40 minutes long, and 640 MB. Encoded in resolution of 352x240 and 2 pass VBR (0 min, 2000 avg, 2250 max) for bitrate. I burned the XVCD on a Memorex 10x CD-RW using Nero 5.5.5.4. I played the encoded mpeg on my computer (using Microsoft Windows Media Player) and it played fine. However, when I played it on my DVD player(Pioneer DV-C302D), the audio cut out in certain areas, mainly in the beginnning of the movie. Wasn't major, but noticeable, especially in the beginning. After the first few minutes the video was fine. Does anyone know if this might be because of the DVD Player? Or maybe burning the movie too fast(10x)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Having the same problem, I haven't resolved it yet. My first thought was that my cd writer might not be good enough.

  3. I think I may have narrowed it down. I put the CD-RW in my DVD player on my computer and it played without a hitch. No sounds problems. Went straight back to the DVD player, got the sound problem again. Even tried different media, didn't change. Burned the 2nd part of the movie, and it played fine. Anyone else have any experience with this DVD Player?
