  1. Hi guys,
I want to add an animated logo on the video. The logo is not in .bmp or .tga format and is not text, but an animated 3D logo, so it can be an .avi or an animated .gif.
Can you give me a hand ? I didn't find a guide or a thread on this.
    Thanks.

Try Ulead Cool 3-D for creating logo. It exports as AVI or TGA as a video overlay. You'll need an editor that supports importing as overlay for that method. You can also create as a regular AVI and import into your video but the background will not be transparent.

  7. Thanks y'all for the reply.
Ok, I have Premiere to do the adding, or Virtualdub if this is prefered by you as I can see here.
The logo is done in 3DStudioMax and is a 3D thing rotating. I can modify that anytime if you tell me that it needs to be some way in order to have transparent background.
So what I want is that 3D logo rotating (transparent background), added in the right bottom corner, if posible even to control the visibility, for example to pe visible for 30sec from 10 to 10 minutes.

No, but as in a series of bmp's (that's easily derived from an AVI)

  10. Uuhh, guys...a little help ? So, how do you do this in Premiere that easy anyway ?
Remember, I'm the one here who needs the help

  11. This would depend slighty on which version of Premiere. But if you have Pro. Bring in your animated logo. Place it on the video layer above your main video track. Highlight you logo clip on the timeline. Go to you effect controls and click on motion. This will place handles around your logo video. Grab the handles with the mouse and resize your image. Next click on the opacity settings and start bringing it down to where you like it. Done.

You can also add filters to it such as emboss or whatever to change it's apperance. Copy the clip and keep pasting it until it reaches the end of you video.

An easy way to do multiple copies is this.

Click on the track you want to copy to (i.e. Video 1, Video 2...)
Highlight the clip you want to copy (i.e. the logo)
    Hit CTRL-C to copy.
Then Press PgDn on your keyboard.
    Hit CTRL-V
    Press PgDn again
    and Hit CTRL-V again

    Repeat until timeline is filled.

Another way to do what you want could done with After Effects. In AE you can change blending Modes (like in Photoshop) TO really create a nice looking watermark. Not going to get into how that is done though.

Nothing is impossible - just more or less hard. (With the possible exception of making a n00b understand why there will never be one app to handle all conversions.)
