    Every time I launch ffmpegX (0.0.9s), it complains that "mencoder" can't be found, although I have downloaded and installed it properly. Any ideas what's going wrong there?

    Check if the size of your mencoder file is 6636100 bytes. If not, then it is the wrong version. Check http://homepage.mac.com/major4/download.html for links to the right version.

    Thanks major, it must have been the wrong version. Everything working alright now.
