  1. I'm trying to play my own created vcd and I'm having no problem creating and burning and even tried it at Radio Shack on a RCA dvd player, with sucess. My problem is My player tells me "no valid disk" . I've recoded my Oritron 100 several times and even learned that I had to enable software update after entering codes. I'm still in the dark. My latest burned vcd I used SmartDisk MVP progam it used VCD 2.0 software and encoded properly I'm also using Memorex Platnium CDRW disks. Please Help.

The problem is probably your DVD Player won't recongize CDRW. Trying burning with CDR's.

  3. I've tried using CDR also. I just recently noticed that most of the users of this machine are successful with CDRW.

  5. Just in case you are not aware of this but the oritron machines do not play VCDs by default (due to a licensing problem with Philips).

You have to switch on this function via a hidden menu (you can also make it a multiregion player via hidden menus too).

If you havent done this then even offcial factory made VCDs will be rejected as invalid - I think this is your problem as it does play CDRs OK.
