Don't know what else to call it, but if you've ever seen thermals on a hot road this is the type of noise, artifacting I'm seeing in final DVD video. I'm using an all in one, Nero Vision Express. The "thermals" are not present in my original DV AVIs.
The "thermals" are not very noticeable, but I see them still. They seem to be more pronounced in color transition areas.
If I've described this adequately, is there a more proper term for what I'm seeing? Is it the mpeg encoder quality of Nero Vision Express that's likely the culprit?
Thanks.
