    The Film Machine won't run on two of my PC's. The splash screen appears for a few seconds then disapears and no main screen. Task manager says it running. The two machine are usuing XP Home and XP Pro. The one that runs is usuing XP Home. Ive tried vers. 1.4 and 1.3.

    Well I guess I'll just stick with old faithful TMPGE and dump this lame program.

    I had other problems with it, and dumped it quickly too.
    Try VSO Divx to DVD as a free alternative. Severly limited (no options at all, really).
    There's always DIKO or SVCD2DVD which will also do avi to dvd using tmpgenc's encoder.
