  1. I have a slight problem.

I have tried to join 2 avi (divx/xvid) files with virtualdub. In the joined file the first half i good but when it goes to the part of the second video it goes wrong.

A loud BEEEP comes and the sound level drops to about 20%.

    What is wrong?

The sound is AC# and it virtualdub ver 1.6.2

The two files were probably encoded at different bit rates, which means joining them isn't going to work.

Open them with GSPOT and verify it.

One have a bitrate of 1712 and the other 1717.

You cant just join AC3 files with VD as far as I know. Read this guide about joining AC3's and then remuxing back to an avi.
