I wanted to test my athlon xp 3000+ against a pentium 3.3ghz. I wanted to know what programs would provide the best benchmarking tests. I wanted to test things like ram speed, cpu speed, fsb speed, multi-tasking, Harddrive performance, etc.
NOTE: I did read the sticky on benchmarking but I don't think that's what I'm looking for.
Freeware or shareware would be nice. Any help would be great!

Run a spread of benchmarks - synthetic, real-world, gaming etc. to get a good feel for how they compare. Both CPU types will be better at one kind of benchmark than another, so running many different ones will give an average score and therefore a better reflection on how these processors perform.
The VideoHelp benchmark could be one of your tests, but I can tell you that Intel CPUs are better at video encoding than AMD ones. As I say, this will be evened out by running different benchmarks. -
Anyone know of any good multi-tasking benchmarks?
Nothing is impossible for DiLeMmA says so!
