what files needed

Hello all ripped a dvd that's under 4.3gig. Can I burn just the movie part without authoring?? If so what exact files do I need ???

Which movie? Some of the newer ones have different copyright schemes.

Hello,

If you ripped it intact or used dvd shrink you should have these file types:

****.vob
****.ifo
****.bup

If you only have the .vob you should rerip or use ifoedit to make ifo files. Then you need to burn the video_ts folder with the above files inside them.

That's it assuming they're still dvd compliant - if you haven't messed with the bitrate/resolution they should be

Yes took the vob's ifo bup files and burned them. My player reads an error when it first starts up then i push the play button a couple of times and it works. I think it should start right up like they do with dvdshrink. Now when I reauthor it with dvdshrink there is no problems. I just thought you could take all the files if they fit and bypass dvdshrink. What am I doing wrong???

you need to keep the IFO/BUP files and also make sure you burn then as a DVD within a VIDEO_TS folder using a DVD burning software

are you keeping all the files on the DVD or are you just grabbing some?

Burning with nero.

...as Video DVD? (If it's already <4.3 GB, I'd do a ISO read/ISO write copy with DVDDecrypter...)

It works in shrink because shrink knows how to burn them properly
