Using Pinnacle, I would like to make DVDs with menus, video, and slideshow (as the subject would suggest). I know how to do menus, video, chapters, etc but I can't think of a cool way to do the slideshow.
I am aware of the tools for making a slideshow out of pictures, but I really dislike the way they just play like a movie. I don't like having to pause on each picture.
My goal is to have a common background to "frame" the images. Buttons would include main menu and back/next buttons to navigate through the show. If possible, it would be cool if you had the OPTION to cycle through the images without pressing next, but I do not want that to be the default behavior.
I could probably make a bunch of custom menu pages to do this, but it seems awfully tedious if there are many pictures.
If anyone happens to have the Napoleon Dynamite dvd, go to the slideshow and see what I mean. It is exactly what I'm looking for.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Andy

I think the only way you can do that is a create a chapter point for each image (playback controlled by remote ) or as you have suggested yourself create it as a menu.
