  1. I used the smart ripper and it worked brilliant, I've got the required VOB files to start working and I used the DVD2AVI prog to frame serving it, it worked fine also but when I checked to see if I had the same files I only had the movie.d2v file but not the sound file, instead I had a '.MPA T01 Delay - 80ms' file. I ran the file and it seem to a sound file but I can't input it on the audio source in TMPGEnc programme(cus its a .MPA file). When I try to inport it, it says it doesn't support it. The video one works in that prog and encodes but theres no sound.
The original DVD has .VOC and .IFO files and another one which I can't remember.
    can you help!

  2. i've never run across a dvd with a mpeg soundtrack, but they do exist & i'd wager that's what you've got. if so the audio is already encoded in a suitable format & dvd2avi simply demuxed the stream. all you have to do is multiplex the .mpa with the video output from tmpgenc. remember to correct for the audio offset dvd2avi reported in the filename

  3. i dont suggest what stanwebber just said...first off find out what the sampleing rate of that audio file and its bitrate and if the sapleing rate is 44.1khz and the bitrate is 224kb then you can multiplex the video and the audio part

  4. Since I ran across a movie with MPEG Audio (why on earth do they do that??) then here is what you do, or atleast what I did that worked for me.

Convert the MPA to WAV, for some stupid reason, TMPGEnc won't accept MPA as a Audio Input, I converted the file using WinAMP, then I used SoundForge to boost out the quality, for some reason the MPA has a very low settings, I had to boost it up by 300%, when you are done, you can use that file in Audio Input.
