thanks for the reply, i had the latest directx version 9c, but still the same problem... i did reinstall it and also read about why you shouldnt uninstall it.
i got a feeling i should have never installed directX 9c

Running Win98 or ME with the latest DirectShow drivers may cause problems. Or so I've heard. Are you using either of these versions of Windows?
FB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -
I saw a article on that don't know if it's still valid or valid for XP but you have to edit a few files to fool windows into thinking you have an older version which will then allow you to install any version above that.Originally Posted by future sheperd
IMO your probably going to cause more problems going that route.... Have you searched MS KB or googled that error?
