I purchased one of these and have had mixed results. Great features like chapter editing, but I am having problems with the quality of video input (through any/all input connectors).

It's been a while since I have seen any mention of this recorder, has anyone purchased one of these recently? Can anyone shed any light on this unit? Any hope of fixing these input problems with firmware? I contacted balance support with no reply.

Any advice on this unit? Should I return it and get something like the ILO DVDR04 for about the same price? Would I be better off with an ILO?
