  1. Hello Everybody,

I'm am having a problem with the playback of some dvds that have been backed up using dvd shrink. These play fine once, even twice, but after they sit, they tend to stop playing properly. They start to freeze and skip and not play at all. I do put printed labels on them and have been told just to label them with a marker, but if that is the problem shouldn't they not play the first time? Any ideas would help, I'm getting a lot of coasters and would like to be able to have backups of my favorite movies. Thank you for any help.

Sticky labels can screwup the playback of your DVDR's

It may well be that the labels are fine to start off with, but after a few hours play time, the glue heats up and causes the discs to go out of balance.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. That makes sense, but how does one label a disc? They make all these special labels, is there a certain disc I should get that will not allow the label to heat up or should I just get a marker and practice my writing? Thanks for the quick reply

Either a marker or look at getting printable discs, and then can use a printer such as the Epson R200 or Canon i865 (for people outside of the Americas) and print the images directly to the discs themselves, instead of onto labels.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Use a marker let your girlfriend or your little sister write the names on the disc.

Ladies are good at making Purdeee letters.
