I used tmpgenc to encode a 1hour 30 mintue divx to an svcd using 2 pass vbr. I used the svcd calculator but the movie ends of jumping and skipping around. The quality is perfect but it seems to be in a seizure. Anybody heard of this?

change your field order under the advanced tab. and if that doesnt help see if the movie is 23.97fps and if it is add te filter 3:2 pulldown to it.

I've used both field orders and the 23 frames thing but still no luck. Is there the possibility that this could sort itself out once I burned it to a disk?

Play the divx file and look at its properties. Unless we know how your source was encoded, and the settings you are using to re-encode it, there is no way for anyone to answer your question.

gbryant,
1 - did you try and template first? ...and,
2 - at what audio setting - did you unlock template and change the audio
and [] uncheck the error box under audio?
3 - did you modify the bitrate (too high?)
