Hi all
Is it possible to share an external USB HD between 2 computers without going through the network card? Could one connect the 2 computers and the hard-drive to a hub? Sharing it through the network is too slow. I'm just hot swapping them now...
Thanks

You could always upgrade to GbE. :P

What about a usb swith. I have one that connects 2 computers to a scanner. And one that connects 2 computers to a printer. I both of these uses you can only acess the device from one computer at a time. For example; print a page completly on one computer, then push the switch, and print a page on the other computer.
I think this would work with a external HD, it is the same as hot swaping them but easier. By the way switches are cheep too.
Thanks Mike
