    Has anybody written code to convert MPG2 files to .ty for TiVo? All the conversions found on this site and this is left out!!!! There has to be a way to do this!! They can convert .ty to MPEG why not the other way???

    Probably because MPEG is a well documented standard format and the TiVo .ty file format is proprietary (not documented/documentation ony with NDA)
