Daytek P30 (liteon) questions

I bought a Daytek P30 about a year ago and love it. It makes perfect DVD movie backups.

A friend of mine was so impressed with it that he went out and bought one for himself. We tried the same code in his that unlocked mine. The code does not seem to work with macrovision anymore. It does still unlock the region codes though.

I guess Daytek(liteon) updated the firmware to prevent this??

Anyone know of a new code or firmware upgrade that will allow me to allow macrovision free on this recorder?

How long after you had yours did he buy one?I think it may have been "Fixed" at the factory. I'm just guessing,I dont have one but they do this somtimes.

The new daytek was purchased a week before Christmas. The other one was purchased at he beginning of 2004. Both are exactly the same recorder, other than the dates manufactured.

I think that maybe the Problem,They fixed it,.Like i said they do it somtimes,But there may also be another hack. But i dont know of one.
