    I Just got a used Toshiba P30
I used it on an festival, than I recognized that the movies don't play on my MacBook Pro with a Mac OS 10.6.8 System in Quick Time, IMovie or After Effects or real player. If there would be a codex to download for QuickTime the issue would be solved. All that works is to open the Videos in DIVX-Player, but I only can watch them but not edit them in an other program?

What shall I do? Is there something to make Quick Time play them or is there an (free) editing program that would work?

    Best, Peter

Open the avi with mediainfo and see what it says under format and video and audio codec.

But you can try "remux" the avi to a mp4 and it will hopefully work better in most apps. Try avidemux, under video and audio choose copy, under format choose mp4, save as mp4.

It sais "Quick Time". No Codec is shown. I will try to convert them - if someone has a smarter way without converting to mp4 I am still happy to try it.

    Thanks for the convrting-manuel!

It works with "remucksing" if i convert the video into an Mpg4 (insteat of copying). Is ther a way to selckt al data within a folder or do I realy have to conver all 70 clips step by step?

You have to write a batch script for avidemux and it's not that simple. Maybe you can try mp4tools and see if it can do same thing, copy video and audio and make a mp4. It has batch capabilites. See http://www.emmgunn.com./mp4tools/mp4toolshome.html

    Thank you so much, Batrick!

I simply apended the 70 Clips to each other - funny work because you still have to choose every clip separatly, but at least you dont have to wait for each Video. I will return the camera and get something that works better with my mac.

But for this time it worked!

    See you later,
    Peter
