  1. Hi!

I have just reinstalled everything on my computer. Before I formatted my C: drive, in VirtualDub, one of the options in the videocompression menu was Mainconcept DV codec. I know for sure that I did not install that codec manually, and my question to you is: Is there any program that you can think of that has MC DV codec 'built in'? I use Vegas 5 and DVDA 2, but none of these has the codec (only MC MPEG). I may have installed some trialversions of any kind, but I can't manage to find out where the codec came from. Now, after reinstall, I have trouble with some of my AVI's that I rendered with VirtualDub, because I used that codec, and Vegas will not show those files in my projects.

    TIA

even microsoft DV codec will read MC DV codec encoded files --

but w/ v-dub , you need to install the main concept dv codec OR the panasonic DV codec ....
