  1. I have been using EazyVCD to rip & make backups of my DVD movie collection. EazyVCD is truly easy to use but when I watch the movie on my Mintek DVD player, the first 20 minutes of the movie will look great & then I start getting artifacts & pixelization & then the movie just feeezes, oh the player is thrashing & spinning the CD-R but nothing is happening on the screen. I'm think that I'm using a cheap-o CD-R & maybe using a better Imation CD-R would help.
Are there any better DVD-to-VCD Programs out there?

    P.S. - I'm using Nero 5.5 to burn the Bin/Cue Image to the CD-R.

    -Thanks-

EazyVCD is IMO one of the easiest (and best) DVD-to-VCD programs you'll find. Output quality is always A1 IMO, and as you say, it's very easy to set up. I too think it's the media, and it's either crap media, the media doesn't get along with your player, or it burns poorly.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. I will try a different Media, I'm using a cheap 100-Pack of Free-after-rebate generic crap. I have found that my Mad-Dog DVD-Rom CDR Burner combo really likes Imation CD-R's when I burn MP3 Music CD-R's. I guess that it only leads to believe that the Imation CD-R's are also the way to go when doing VCD's, I will give them a try.

    -Thanks-

  5. I'm glad to hear positive reviews of EasyVCD, since I just started using it. The only comment I have is, I can't seem to get chapters/menus to display/work on my player which does have the PCB (playback control) feature.

I'm using the settings below. Any other guides for this software?

    v1.15a
    Inputs:
    All defaults on input
    N. american NTSC

    Encoding:
    highest quality
    XVCD
    1 CD

    Output:
    Make Bin/CUE

    Questions:
No menu functions on burned CD, why?
Why does prgrm ask to play a few seconds of movie first?
