  1. Hi there,
I have some MP4 files that I burned to DVD, however unfortunately the subtitles get cut off (because of overscan) However when I use the application Xilisoft DVD Creator with its letterbox feature, I can see the subtitles fine. Problem is that I don't like the menu's created with Xilisoft so is there a program that can do that letterbox feature for me? I'd like the easiest possible way, since I'm not very good at this kind of stuff.

    Thanks!

You could try ConvertXToDVD, but you may not like it's menus either. For freeware, maybe FAVC.
If you want more control of menus, then you need a separate authoring program. You could try GUI for dvdauthor. But it may not be as simple.

TMPGEnc DVD author is a bit easier, but I think only some versions handle switchable subs. If your subs are burned in, then it wouldn't be a problem. Of course if they were switchable, you would have been able to move them out of the overscan area, which would be a better idea anyway, even with burned in subs.

    And welcome to our forums.
