  1. Have a DVD burner in my firewire enclosure. I can insert blank DVDs and DVDs that I've burned (backups), but soon as I put in a DVD-ROM, the drive reads the DVD then my system reboots. I've tried it with several DVDs and get the same results whether I have the encloser turned on or off prior to rebooting. The region code is set too.

    anyone seen this before?

  4. Update:

I took the new Emprex +DL out of the firewire enclosure and put it as a slave internaly. Took out the DVD-ROM that was the slave and put it in the firewire inclosure. No more crashes

    Strange!
