    im trying to use mpeg2works 3.5 ona powerbook g4 and and am trying to convert an avi file into mpeg2 so that i can burn a dvd video and watch it on an external dvd player.

    im getting a -2700 apple script error when i try to convert the avi file in mpeg2works. i think ive got mpeg 2 component well i did a finder search and its there but im not sure if its right.

    also not sure whether to use dvd pal/svcdpal 4:3 or 16:9.

    any ideas.
