I am trying to follow the below tutorial.
https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/273096-Blue-Ray-HD-DVD-TS-DVD-AVI-TO-H-246-using-MEGUI
after creating the test.avs script and opening it in Media Player classic and I am getting an error "Timeout waiting for graph to start."
This is what I have done so far. I used DVDfab to decrypt the BR disk and it created one .m2ts file. I left all audio options checked and unchecked all subs. I used BD50 so it would not compress.
I guess I have a couple of questions first.
1. Do I need to decrypt the .m2ts file first or can I use the file directly on the BR disk?
2. If so is there a better program to use other then DVDfab? (I'm using DVDfab because I purchased it.)
Now back to the error.
This is what the script looks like.
DirectShowSource("C:\BRaw\Invasion\BDMV\STREAM\000 00.m2ts",fps=23.976,audio=false) I also tried 29,976 for fps
I guess for starters I'm not sure that the fps is correct. I don't know if that would give me that error or not. How would I find out what the FPS are for the file I'm using?
I do know the path is set correctly. (I still remember quite a few things from the DOS days) lol.
I've become too lazy to get up and put a disk into a drive. I would rather spend hours trying to figure out how to rip a copy to my Media Pc. Go figure.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rvn

a program called mediainfo will def come in handy for looking at the specific info of any video file...get it (+ it's free!! ) even a program like tsMuxer would give you the frame rate ) even a program like tsMuxer would give you the frame rate

yes, you would need to decrypt the m2ts file prior to encoding and copy the BD to your hdd...personally, i use anydvdhd and love it! it's quick and easy and gets updated regularly! is pay software but well worth it imo

i can't recall what error will cause that message..."timeout waiting for graph to start." i'm sure someone else around here can help with that. i had problems getting MeGUI to work when i starting ripping BDs...i'm sure you have updated everything via MeGUI's automated update and updated/installed all necessary software per the tutorial you're following?
