I've been reading guides for two days and I feel more confused than when I began. I have a tv series dvd with two seasons on it that I would like to backup. In the past, I usually just backup the whole disk with dvddecrypter and dvdshrink. Unfortantely, this dvd is so big that the resulting backup looks like crap - to much compression. What I would like to do is split the dvd and put season 1 on one dvd and season 2 on another. I would like for some recommendations on how to do this. Thank you in advance for your help.

maybe try https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?link=716 and blank out the second season for your first disc, then blank the first season for your second disc. All menus will be retained, and "dead' links will just play a second or two of a black screen.
If in doubt, Google it. -
If you are a DVD Shrink user then you should be aware of the "Reauthor Feature". Drag the episodes you want to the left window and hit back-up. Do the same for the remaining episodes. Couldn't be any more simple than that.
