Well hello everyone![]()
Just joined these forums for its helpful tutorials.
So I thought I'd ask a question in the forums.
I am attempting to backup my MacGyver complete 7 Season, 136 episode series DVD Collection![]()
The discs are getting knocked around and scratched, and I want to be able to view and watch episodes at my leisure from my computer without running to my cabinet and searching through hundreds of DVD's.
I first rip my VOB of each episode.
Then I load the IFO into AutoGK, fiddle around with the settings and get it where I want it. (DivX, Audio: VBR 128kb/s, Fixed video width of 640 and a Custom Size of 520mb per episode which seems reasonable for 45 minutes each episode)
Yet, AutoGK always crashes/stops working.
I'll post the log below.
If someone can help me out, I will be forever in their debt :P because I cannot live a day without my precious MacGyver.
Thanks in advanced!

Wow! It seems to be working so far

Thanks for that.. :P
Edit: Also, do you think 520mb per Episode is good? I don't want to lose quality, but I have to do 136 episodes and want to keep it under 40gb

It depends on how well they compress, given the settings you chose. Check the log for the compress test results. If you can't interpret it yourself, post it here. However you do it, though, you'll be losing quality.Edit: Also, do you think 520mb per Episode is good? I don't want to lose quality, but I have to do 136 episodes and want to keep it under 40gb
