i ripped a movie with shrink and saved as an ISO. when i went to burn it with DVDDECRYPTOR the file was too big. it did in fact get shrunk, but not enough. i had to extract the ISO file so i could have a video_ts folder and then i ran shrink again and finally got my bachup accomplished.

i never had this happen before and since then i have backed up a few more movies--i just wonder what went wrong??

target size was custom at 4364--100 meg less than the maximum. it had to be a one time glitch.

like i said, i extracted the ISO to video_ts folders and ran shrink again, it only had to compress 1% but it worked.

In DVDShrink, was your "green bar" showing green or red ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

i really didn't lookl at the bar as i have never needed to. i know what and where it is, but again, i never needed to. i am gonna start from scratch with that movie and try to shrink it from the DVD--this way i can see where the bar is after compression.

I only mentioned it because I've seen on very rare occasions where it cannot get under 4.38GB on the first try. In these cases, normally a 2nd run through DVDShrink has been enough to get it down.
    If in doubt, Google it.
