  1. hi dudes, i got a "avi" file that i want to put on to dvd.

i seperated the audio and video (mpeg tmpgnc/audio extracted from virtualdub ).

but now all authoring software states that theres multi channels within my wav file, and when i saved out an ac3 file from virtualdub no program recognises it as a valid ac3 file

i think i have to somehow make my wav file into a pcm, im not a techy by any means, can someone please help!

    thanks!

Why are you trying to extract the WAV ?

Please post back a screenshot from GSpot or AVICodec so we can better understand what you have to work with as source.

It sounds to me like you're using virtualdubmod, not virtualdub.

In virtualdub, go to audio > Full Processing, then go to audio > Compression, and make sure it's set to No Compression (PCM) in the left window. Then go to File > Save WAV.

In virtualdubmod, go to streams > stream list, right-click on the audio stream and go to Full Processing. Then click Save WAV.

    If in doubt, Google it.
