I have this dvd that has a media gallery, but is there a way to rip the dvd so I can have the images from the gallery? or is this simply not possible without screencaps?

Hello,
Have you looked in the directory of the dvd??? You should be able to find the actual picture files (usually jpg or bmp).

If it is part of the dvd you'll have to do screengrabs. Try Fraps www.fraps.com
There are a few ways to do it actually... -
Explore the disc......copy the files.....paste to wherever you want on the hard drive.

alas, only the usual vob's, ... no other media files

Hello,
Can't you use virtualdubmod to save the vobs as bmp files???? Try using dvdshrink to rip out only the section of the dvd you want for the pictures. Then load that into vdubmod. I think it's been covered on the forum before I just don't know the setting for saving as individual picture files....
