Good DVD -R Player

I have had terrible luck with DVD players playing DVD -R discs. I usually burn on Ritek G04, usually regarded as a quality media. I had an Apex, which had a propensity for freezing. Then I bought a DVB312 by Zenith, and I am experiencing similar problems. All movies work perfectly on the computer. Can anyone recommend a good DVD -R media player?

Go with the Phillips DVP642. It plays everything I have been able to throw at it. I to am standard on Ritek G04 & G05 and never have any problems (6 mos).

Sounds like a burning problem. Go with the good quality discs, burn at slow speeds, and use tested software, decryptor, Schrink. intervideos dvd copy.

I user smart ripper 2.4.1
Then I use Intervideo DVD copy to copy to HD, then the same to copy to media.

I use Ritek G04.

Would you recommend changing my methods?

Try burning at a slower speed.
